Time to Quilt Block No. 10 - Shimmer Coral Reef

To make a 45” x 54” lap size quilt using Block 10 only:

Border – 1 yd (quilt shown uses Shimmer – Coral Reef 22996M-26)

Binding – ½ yd (quilt shown uses Shimmer – Coral Reef 22994M-26)

Crosswise Backing – 3 ½ yds

1. Make 20 blocks (10 of each mirror image block)

2. Referring to the quilt image for placement, sew blocks/rows together.

3. From border fabric, cut 6 – 5” x WOF strips. Sew strips together. Cut four 45” strips. Sew a border strip to each side of the quilt top, then add top & bottom borders.

4. From binding fabric, cut 6 – 2 ½” x WOF strips. Join strips with diagonal seams and prepare binding.

5. Cut backing piece in half along length of fabric to get two 1 ¾ yd x WOF pieces. Sew pieces together along selvage edges. Backing piece will measure approximately 63” x 84”.

6. Sandwich quilt top with batting and backing. Quilt as desired and bind using your favorite method.
