Canada Sews was launched April 2012. It is an organization within the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) to raise the awareness of sewing to the Canadian consumer and to educate, inspire and provide resources for all skill levels of sewing.
To kick start the sewing campaign they have created The Great White T-Shirt Challenge! Northcott has provided a prize for the quilting category- The Freckles Frenzy Quilt Pattern and all of the fabric needed to complete the quilt!
Get Started
All you need is: • Plain white cotton T-shirt • Needle and thread (sewing machine or hand needle) • Additional items of your choice • Your creativity
There are 3 different categories you can submit a project in: • quilting • fashion • home decor

Email your finished project PHOTOS and complete contact information to Paula Jones at pjones@craftandhobby.org. You may e-mail more than one photo if necessary to show more detail. Please include a brief description as well as any specific details about your project that you would like the judges to know. All submissions will be posted on the Canada Sews Facebook page.
Judging: Projects will be judged based on the following criteria: 1. Creative use of the T shirt 2. Demonstration of various forms of sewing, hand and/or machine 3. Visual appeal and use of additional materials 4. Inspirational impact to encourage others to replicate the project
