Marilyn lives in a suburb of St. Paul, MN with her husband and 3 kids. Quilt Moments started in 2006 when her kids were only 1 1/2, 3 and 9 years old, and the name seemed very fitting since she was grabbing moments between naps and the kids activities or late at night to work on designs and piece the quilts! Over 10 years later, it has turned into many more 'moments'. Marilyn has published over 50 patterns, a book titled 'Kaleidoscope Symphony', filmed a Craftsy video class called 'Quilted Kaleidoscopes' and been publishedin several quilt magazines. She enjoys travelling to do trunk show lectures and workshops for guilds and quilt shops.
Marilyn loves designing pieced quilts that look complicated yet include basic piecing techniques. With a background in analysis, she really enjoys the challenge of making her pieced patterns as versatile as possible so they all include a variety of sizes and fabric options.
