Scenes from her own life as a farm girl, beekeeper, baker, and vintage collector are some of the main inspirations for Jennifer Nilsson's artwork. She finds the often-loved ideas of simple living and times gone by resonate with many on a deep level and bring a personal emotional connection.
Jennifer's process begins by sketching out her ideas the old-fashioned way - with pencil on paper - then paint the elements of all of my collections by hand in watercolor and gouache, adding colored pencil touches along the way. The elements are then scanned as individual layers in Photoshop where edits and arrangements can easily be made.
