Ann's passion for quilting, investigation, art, and editing came together in 2016 when she became the editor in chief of American Quilter (AQ) magazine. That position has been a blessing; she has devoured the wide world of quilting, experiencing all genres as well as learning techniques from countless accomplished quilt artists. Besides coordinating each issue, she has written numerous feature articles and biographical features for AQ, including patterns; she especially enjoys pattern editing and considers it a challenge to make each one exceptionally clear and concise. She was previously a university foundation development researcher. "I simply have to know details," she says.
Ann is a lifelong enthusiast of all types of textile arts, quilt and garment construction, and yarnwork. She looks forward to much more personal creative time and other endeavors as she steps away from her editor role in 2023. Some would call it retirement, but she has no intention of slowing down. Quilt art and design, especially encompassing nature elements, are on the forefront as she considers the possibilities everywhere.
