Born and raised with Southern charm in Alabama, Kristie J. Smith has always had a passion for sewing and design. At the age of six, Kristie began fashioning clothing for her Barbie dolls and continued participating in any craft activity available. Throughout college and adulthood, she focused her education in Apparel Design, Quilting, and consumer Behavior.

Kristie is an avid quilter and has worked in the sewing industry for over 20 years as a national educator, creative director, product development director, and business development consultant. Her projects have won numerous awards and have been featured in over 30 publications; additionally, she co-authored a quilting book called 'Splice Magic' in 2022. Kristie's love of mixing modern touches with vintage treasures plays a significant role in her designs.
