Sue has been working with fibres and fabric for as long as she can remember: Over the years she has enjoyed designing and creating in most of the established fibre arts: quilting, dressmaking, tailoring, knitting, embroidery, needlepoint, weaving and crochet, and related crafts such as beading and copper wire jewellery. She also loves music, especially singing, and has had the honour of singing with some outstanding choruses including the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir for nearly 20 years, the Honolulu Opera Theatre, and with Tapestry New Opera Works.
Sue’s quilts have been accepted to national and international quilt shows in Canada and the United States, as well as Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) exhibitions. Her quilts have won awards at the Canadian National Juried Show, AQS Charlston, and the IQA Houston show.
For most of her life Sue pursued a career as a mechanical engineer and project manager working for a major consulting firm focusing on transit infrastructure.
Sue loves to travel, especially to places with iconic vistas or interesting wildlife. She is a concerned nature lover, often featuring endangered or threatened animals in her designs.
