Although Josee has been sewing and making clothes since she was a teenager, she only came to the quilting world five years ago.  Josee tried her hand at quilting many years ago, but realized that quilting was not for her... or so she thought! Years later, on a cold winter night, Josee’s neighbor invited her to a guild meeting.  She was so inspired, she went to her local quilt store to register for a beginner’s class the very next day.  The class was full; anxious to get started she registered for a paper pieced class and never looked back.  

Now, five years later, she has become passionate about this art form and not a day passes without sewing, planning, cutting or buying fabric! Josee continues challenges herself with new techniques as often as possible.  She is truly an artist! In fact, Josee was awarded first place in Northcott’s Sandscapes Challenge in 2016 in the applique category.  Our design director, Deborah Edwards immediately recognized Josee’s talent and set to work to with her to create her first fabric collection, Oasis.
