As a child, Jay focused on what he excelled at most, art! It has become a life long journey of education, practice and studying other artists and every style from animation to illustration to impressionism while trying to find something that would satisfy that deep need to connect with his art. Illustration came fairly natural so Jay freelanced for a publishing company. After thirty years Jay ventured into abstract art and fell in love with it. Today, he finds tremendous joy and freedom of working with strokes, splashes, whooshes, imprints, patterns in his art.
Since he began this abstract chapter into organic art, he has experienced much more satisfaction in his work. “I’m no longer attempting to keep up with the trends in decorative art that come and go. I get to create a world of colorful, organic images that are enjoyed as much by touch as they are by sight and imagination.”
