As painter, fabric artist, quilt designer, author, cellist and teacher at Hamilton College, Sue Beevers leads a full life. Sue began her career as a spinner, weaver and dyer whose fiber art appears in galleries and private collections throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. She has travelled extensively giving lectures and fiber art workshops.
In 2000, Sue expanded her creative expression into quilting. Since then she has written two books and numerous articles on quilting and has appeared twice as a guest artist on HGTV’s, Simply Quilts. Although her creations are mainly art quilts, Sue also enjoys designing and sewing traditional quilts. In addition to creating beautiful fabric collections, Sue designs quilt patterns and recently started the Trillium Ridge Quilt Patterns with her son Brien.
Sue lives in central New York State in a rural setting which continues to inspire her work.
