Tuffet making started as a hobby in 2007 but soon turned into a passion and then a business. Sharyn teaches tuffet making classes in many quilt shops in central North Carolina. What pleases her the most bout leading a tuffet workshop is witnessing the sheer joy, pride and sense of accomplishment expressed by students when they complete their first, or second, tuffet treasure.

She has developed many innovations and improvements over the years in the craft of tuffet-making and her husband Allen turns her ideas into reality.

In addition to tuffet making, Sharyn teaches pieced quilting, applique anf fabric embellishment classes at quilt shops in central North Carolina. Her applique quilts won ribbons at local guild and regional quilt shows as well as national shows. Quiltin is another of her passions and applique is her favorite technique.
