Paula Toups is an artist, teacher and quilter who loves to design patterns for quilters by creating unique, realistic patterns taken directly from the beauty of nature. Prior to discovering quilting, she designed stained glass patterns for both commission and pleasure, including windows, doors and stained glass lamps. Many of those designs have been interpreted for Stained Glass quilting patterns. Many other designs that are not conducive to the leaded glass technique are available as Fusible Applique patterns.
Paula lives in Baton Rouge, LA, with her husband Joe, and has been teaching classes in the Baton Rouge and the Southeast area for several years. She is a member of Gulf States Quilting Association and is a GSQA Circuit Teacher. Her enthusiasm is contagious and she is known for her patience and commitment to her students. Individual attention and well-written, easy to understand instructions are always provided in her classes. Exploring new techniques and furthering her creativity and design opportunities are challenges she loves to share with other quilters. Paula has received awards in both the quilting and apparel categories of the Gulf States Quilting Association bi-annual Show.
