Elizabeth grew up in a family of classical musicians. This provided her with first-hand knowledge of the hard work and dedication required to achieve perfection in the creative world where she has experienced great success and personal fulfillment.
In addition to teaching and hosting workshops, Elizabeth has worked as an in-house artist and art director. Most of her career however, has been spent working as an independent artist allowing her many creative diversions along the artistic path. In addition to her exquisitely detailed illustrations and artwork, Elizabeth has created a multitude of products for high profile organizations like Colonial Williamsburg, the Smithsonian Museum and the National Wildlife Federation. Her artwork has been licensed for products ranging from greeting cards and giftware to tabletop and kitchen accessories.
Elizabeth has come full circle. As a young child, she was encouraged by her mother and grandmothers to sew. This inspired a life-long career as an artist with a passion for pattern and textiles. We are very pleased to welcome Elizabeth into the quilting community and look forward to seeing her exquisite art translated into Northcott fabric.
